- At the start of the year, the prices of the charging stations will initially be displayed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- Possibility to store the most frequently used charging cards in order to determine the most favorable price in each case
- ChargingTime helps save costs
Stuttgart, January 22, 2025 – The ChargingTime app focuses on people. Now the innovative app is helping users to save money: At the start of the year, a beta version of the price display for the various charging stations is available.
Once again, the two founders have responded to feedback from users and integrated a valuable function into the app.
With the new version of ChargingTime, the founders have tackled the major topic of “price comparison” – initially in a “beta version” (limited number of charging station operators, limited number of charging card operators). All ChargingTime Gold users will have the opportunity to use this revolutionary feature from January.
How does the price comparison actually work?
By default, the “ad-hoc” prices are displayed – these are the prices that you pay at the card terminal of the charging station with your credit card or EC card.
You can select and store your charging cards in the ChargingTime settings. It is also possible to hide charging stations at which your own charging cards do not work.
In the list of charging parks, you can then see the cheapest prices that you can get with the payment methods stored – with details of the charging card or payment method that you should use to get this cheapest price.
Felix Geibel: “We have repeatedly received comments from our community that they would like to be able to compare prices. We were very happy to respond to this request and have now integrated the price information into our ChargingTime app. When you’re out and about in an electric car, you notice time and again that the price differences are immense. If you use the wrong charging card at the wrong charging station, you often end up paying more. We want to avoid this for our users with the new feature. Thanks to a very close exchange with the ChargingTime community, we always have our finger on the pulse – which naturally helps us to understand customer expectations and take them into account in our developments.”
Jonas Sulzer: “I am delighted about this major milestone – with this new feature we have reached an important stage in our success story and have taken an important step for our community in particular. Our current and future users will be able to save costs with the price indication – which will certainly please everyone. We are currently still in the beta version, as we have not yet been able to integrate all charging station and charging card operators across the board, but we are working on this. And, of course, we are also working on further optimizations of ChargingTime so that, with our help, the journey in an electric vehicle will be even more convenient than it already is.”

About ChargingTime:
ChargingTime is an innovative charging planning app that not only supports travel planning with the electric vehicle with features such as “charging power”, “occupancy” or “charging duration”, but also responds to individual user needs such as “restaurant”, “good coffee”, “children’s playground” and many more. – with Google Maps and integration into the vehicle via CarPlay or Android Auto allows flexible adaptation to current conditions at any time during the journey.developed by Felix Geibel in November 2021, the app focuses not on charging, but on people. The idea for the app was born during one of the founder’s family vacations, which made him realize that there is more to good travel planning than the charging process: in his case, charging the electric vehicle had to be reconciled with the needs of the children (playing, eating something tasty quickly). Since spring 2022, the team has been strengthened by Jonas Sulzer, who is constantly developing the app together with Felix Geibel. An important aspect for the further development of the app is the regular exchange with users – this is how ideas for additional functions that make traveling with the e-vehicle even more convenient are created.
