Charge smarter, pay less
We are pleased to introduce a new feature that makes charging your electric car even easier and cheaper. From now on, you can not only plan the fastest or shortest route in our app, but also find the cheapest charging points along your route. Especially since the rise in electricity costs in 2022, it was important to us to give you the opportunity to directly identify the cheapest options.
This is how it works:
- Enter your destination: As usual, enter your start and finish points in our app.
- Select your charge cards: Select your existing charge cards in your profile. This allows us to show you the prices that apply to you personally. Or you can also display the ad hoc price at any time (this means you don’t need a charge card and can simply swipe your debit card 💸)
- Compare prices: On the route overview, you can now see the current price per kilowatt hour (kWh) that you would pay with your card for each charging point.
- Choose your favorite: Decide on the charging point that best suits your budget and your needs.

With the ChargingTime app, you can first get an overview of all charging station operators along your route. With the ChargingTime operator filter, you can filter by operator or specify which charging cards you have in the settings. The prices for the respective operators are then displayed.
Why is that practical for you?
You can save costs by using the direct price comparison to search for cheap charging points and save money. At the same time, you save time as you no longer have to search for the best offers – you can find all the information directly in our app. The app also offers you maximum flexibility, as you can adapt your route to the current prices and always find the cheapest charging point in your area. Thanks to the comprehensive transparency, you always have a full overview of the charging costs and can plan your expenses better.

Which charging card is cheap to use?
Each charging card has its own advantages, for example:
- Large networks: Some cards allow charging at a large number of charging stations.
- Additional services: Some providers offer additional services.
- Special tariffs: There are often special tariffs for frequent users or customers of certain electricity providers.
Remember that charging congestion can occur with low-cost operators. Keep an eye on availability while driving. To do this, use ChargingTime with CarPlay or Android Auto while driving.
